So, a tax plan that will save me, on average, several thousand dollars a year is not to be passed because the Democratic senators think the rich will become richer if the plan is passed. So, to stop that from happening, they aren’t going to let the plan go through. Bully for them! By stopping the plan, they cost me thousands.
I’ve been reading about all the political shenanigans that are going on – not just in Washington, but throughout the country. Identity politics is not new. Ad hominem attacks on political opponents are as old as politics itself; and, just from my perspective, I’m beginning to think that politics and prostitution may tie as the oldest professions in the world. And then there’s that nagging voice in the back of my mind that equates one with the other.
When lobbyists like Manafort get arrested, and other lobbyists like Tony Podesta start crawfishing, can members of Congress be far behind? After all, if the lobbyists have been engaging in illegal activities, with whom would those illegal activities be conducted?
